Postecoglou Declares Celtic Star is ‘Ready to go’

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has confirmed that David Turnbull, after pulling up with a hamstring injury early into the League Cup final, is finally back for selection.

Postecoglou has reminded fans how important the player is to the squad in contention for Ross County. He also revealed that the Scotland midfielder is ‘itching’ to get back on the park.

On Saturday, Celtic have the chance to extend their lead at the top as well as welcoming back Turnbull, speaking ahead on this prospect, Ange told the BBC;

“He’ll be important for us. He was fantastic for us first half of the year,” said Postecoglou.

“He’s a quality player, he’s a goal threat, he’s good on set pieces and I think he adds something to our team

“He’s trained the last 10 days and worked hard in rehab. I know he’s itching to get back out there. Watching him train, he’s ready to go.”

It’s great to see that the 22-year-old is excited to return to action. Hopefully, he will be able to feature before the international break and then use that time to full fitness.

The midfield area is stacked with quality; it’ll be interesting to see how Ange lines up when David is fully fit.

Still a young player, he was pivotal to Celtic’s good run of form in the early part of the season.
