Celtic is known for having a fair few celebrity supporters. Billy Connolly regularly attended games before his move to the States while the likes of Snoop Dogg and Kevin Bridges are regularly public in their support for the Bhoys.

It is not entirely uncommon, but you don’t often get players of other sports who remain passionate about football. Snooker man John Higgins, though, was.
Indeed, as world champion then, the ‘Wizard of Wishaw’ presented his title to a packed Parkhead in 1998 on the day the Hoops stopped Rangers doing ten-in-a-row.
A legend in snooker, now a man of a similar sport to that of Higgins’ – pool – has admitted his love for Celtic and ambitions to take to the hallowed Parkhead turf.
Jayson Shaw has realistic targets of winning the upcoming World Pool Championship in Saudi Arabia, and would love to present his title to the Parkhead faithful, should he come away successful.
He said: (The Scottish Sun) “If I can win the World Championship, it would be amazing to go back to my home town.
“I’m sure I could get to go to Celtic Park and parade the trophy. That would be really cool.
“I have been a Celtic supporter since I was a little boy. I had season tickets when I lived in Scotland.
“I saw when John Higgins won the snooker World Championship, he got to go to Celtic Park.
“It would be an amazing feeling.”
