Police Scotland Send Out Message Ahead of Celtic Title Party

Celtic fans are gearing up for a title party tomorrow after the Hoops sealed yet another league championship at Rugby Park on Wednesday.

It was a five-star performance from the Hoops as Adam Idah, Daizen Maeda, James Forrest, and Matt O’Riley got in on the act.

Echoing their manager, the Bhoys well and truly sprinted over the line in Ayrshire and returned to Glasgow as champions of Scotland for the third time in a row.

Tomorrow, they will get their hands on the league trophy and afterwards, fans are expected to descend upon the Merchant City, as has been tradition for the past two years.

Glasgow City Council recently warned supporters against antisocial behaviour, with Police Scotland sending out a message also.

They said that they are ‘working closely’ with their partners and will have a proportionate policing plan in place to minimise disruption to the public and maintain safety:

Although the Celtic fans gathering at the Trongate can cause some disruption for commuters and those wanting to drive through the area, the reality is that there have been little to no issues with public safety the previous two times the supporters have met there.

The same will likely ring true this year as the Parkhead faithful celebrate three-in-a-row.
