Pleasing Celtic Trend Continues

Signs that a full pre-season with Ange Postecoglou is starting to show through the Celtic team, with small parts of Celtic’s game becoming better.

Something that has been worked on on the training pitch is attacking set pieces, particularly corners.

Last week, on the season’s opening day, Stephen Welsh scored from a corner just minutes into the match, a rare sight for Celtic fans.

Six days later, away to Ross County, Celtic scored from another corner. This time Jenz was the scorer after the short corner was played to Jota, who floated a lovely ball into the box.

Seeing Celtic put set pieces to good use is a pleasing trend.

Celtic Look to Continue Trend in Europe

Celtic’s chances will be very limited in Europe, so using set pieces could be a good strategy for the side as they look to capitalise on their opportunities.

It’s great to see Celtic look to finally improve on their set pieces; with Jenz’s added height, Celtic will only become better from set pieces.
