Bosun Lawal wishes he was given more first-team opportunities during his three-year spell at Celtic.
The highly-rated Irishman joined the Hoops from Watford’s academy as a teenager.

After playing in the B team for a few years, Lawal was sent on loan to Fleetwood last summer.
With the Cods, he excelled, standing out as he moulded into a dominant, forward-thinking midfielder who could also do the dirty work.
Many thought Lawal could resultantly come back and challenge at Celtic after a successful temporary spell away, but it wasn’t to be.
Brendan Rodgers played the 21-year-old a few times during pre-season but saw enough to sanction a permanent departure.
Stoke City subsequently secured Lawal’s signature. The Ireland international penned a four-year deal at the bet365 Stadium.
Celtic raking in £3m for a player who made just a solitary senior appearance for the club has to be commended. Lawal, though, wishes he got more opportunities to shine in green and white.
“I enjoyed my time at Celtic,” he said (Stoke on Trent Live).
“It’s obviously a massive club.
“I didn’t play as much as I would have liked but I still learned a lot and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been part of that team that won the amount of trophies that they won with some amazing players.”
Despite seemingly possessing respectable potential, it never worked out for Lawal in Glasgow.
His limited first-team opportunities came as a frustration, and a summer exit was best for all parties.
Rodgers nor Ange Postecoglou seemed to highly rate the midfielder, who is now looking to excel in the English Championship with his new club.
