Plans Submitted for Exciting New Venue Next to Celtic Park

The renovation around Celtic Park looks set to continue with a brand new venue.

A new music and events venue headed up by G40 Events Ltd have submitted a fresh proposal to Glasgow City Council that would increase their events space from the previously approved 700 person venue to a 940 capacity.

As you can see from the image below, the venue would in the shadow of Celtic Park.

VENUE OUTSIDE CELTIC PARK

Music gigs and weddings would be high on the venue’s list of functions, with corporate dinners and fashions shows also included.

Designs also include an outside space that could be utilised on matchdays if given the proper approval.

The area around Celtic Park has transformed over the past 20 years. The club doing their bit by upgrading the Celtic Way which has been a huge hit. The Velodrome being built back in 2012 was a massive change to the surrounding area of Paradise, the venue looks onto Celtic Park from just across the road.

Given GCC had already given permission to G40 Events to go ahead with a 700 capacity, we can’t imagine there will be much issue with increasing the space.

We’ll have to wait and see if this could positively effect matchdays for supporters looking for a pint before games.
