ANGE POSTECOGLOU has revealed Celtic already have plans in place for the summer transfer window as we reach the conclusion of the 22/23 SPFL season.
The Australian was asked about Celtic’s transfer plans and reassuringly the Celtic manager has made it clear the club is hard at work to make the moves they need early on in the window.
“We already have some plans in place in terms of areas we want to strengthen.” Ange told RecordSport.
“At the same time, there is always the possibility that our players may move on for one reason or another and we have to be ready for that and make sure that come the end of the window we are in a better position that we were going into it.”

Asked about the extent of his transfer plans, the Hoops boss was pragmatic: “It depends on the window, particularly the summer window. You go into that one with a little bit of uncertainty because you don’t know what players will be affected within your own squad. So you are kind of always alert.
“But the goal is the same in every transfer window. We want to come out of the window stronger than we go into it. And we are ready for that.”
Celtic fans are getting used to the club being very prepared going into transfer windows. Before Ange came on the scene, the transfer approach was chaotic and regularly took us to the final days of the window.
Ange tends to get his business done as early as possible and we’ll see that once the season comes to an end.
There are plenty of Celtic players being linked with a move away from the club. The board and the Celtic manager will be aware of the interest in certain players. Liel Abada has been subject to major speculation over the past few months. If the Israeli winger was to head out this summer, Ange would certainly look to strengthen the wingers at the club.
It will be an exciting but apprehensive time as Celtic fans wait to see what’s in store. Guaranteed Champions League football is a carrot not just for players coming in, but keeping our top stars at the club.
