CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers has showered praise on Mark Lawwell, Celtic’s head of recruitment, for his impressive strategy in sourcing talent for the club.

Rodgers expressed his admiration for Lawwell’s knack for tapping into diverse markets and establishing a healthy pipeline of players.
Throughout their strategic discussions, Rodgers had the chance to see the football market from Lawwell’s perspective and acknowledged the successful results that the recruitment strategy has yielded.
Lawwell’s ability to assemble an array of talent, ready to shine on the pitch, has been a commendable feat since his arrival at Celtic, and it’s not stopped since Ange Postecoglou left. Odin Thiago Holm has already signed for the club, with many other names from similar markets linked to Celtic.

“Over the course of our discussions I’ve seen the market we’re in and how well the recruitment has gone.
“Mark Lawwell has this pipeline of players that are available and it’s really impressive what he’s done since coming in and the markets he’s been able to tap into.
“That will continue. That’s where the club is at. Listen, when you’ve got top players at the club they are always going to attract attention elsewhere.
“Those boys have come in and done exceptionally well. Good players will always attract attention. But I don’t worry about that.”
Rodgers’ remarks underscore his unwavering faith in the club’s recruitment strategy under Lawwell and his confidence in the team’s ability to handle potential departures. With such leadership, Celtic fans can look forward to more exciting talents donning the Hoops in the future and ease their concerns that poor recruitment will become a talking point yet again at the club.
