The Green Brigade has managed to set up a Palestine display at their section ahead of the Atletico Madrid game tonight despite the clubs attempts to stop it from happening.

While the group were not allowed to access the stadium earlier in the day, it looks like they’ve taken the opportunity to get in early with Celtic Park opening its doors half an hour earlier than usual to allow supporters to filter in easier over an extended period of time.

The club asked fans not bring flags in support of one side of the current conflict and made it clear they will be paying homage to all the innocent civilians who have died in the tragic events in the Middle East.

The Green Brigade and many other Celtic supporters have always had a staunch belief in the Palestinian cause and as Gaza continues to be attacked, they have asked anyone who would like to join them to bring a Palestine flag.

We have no doubt there will be more flags in the stands than just in the standing section.

Celtic take on Atletico in a game that will likely seal our fate out of the competition should we not pick up any points.

Let’s hope when the whistle goes the support can get right behind the team.
