Petty Ibrox Decision Must Be Reversed After Latest Announcement

The news that full capacity will return to football grounds in Scotland in August [all going well] has been met with jubilation from supporters up and down the country.

Deprived of our weekly dose of football from the terraces and forced to watch a sanitised, unemotional empty stadium season was hard viewing. Not so hard for clubs who maybe see their fans as a nervous hindrance rather than a motivating factor.

Before all this went down, the board across the city locked 7,000 Celtic fans out of their stadium because we were enjoying one of the most dominant domestic periods in our history.

The gentleman’s agreement that both sets of club’s would provide sizeable ticket allocation for rival supporters was unceremoniously ripped up without consultation or warning.

The games have lost something since the decision was taken, both sets of fans will agree, even if it is begrudgingly.

As we creep closer to full capacity, it’s time for some supposed grown men to grow up and allow more rival fans inside the stadium for the Glasgow Derby.

Celtic had no choice but to reciprocate when their allocation was ripped from them.

We’d like to see football win here and both boards coming to an arrangement before the end of August when the first derby is set to take place.
