Former Celtic star, Stiliyan Petrov believes that Hoops boss has ’two or three’ games to save his job at Celtic, after going on an extremely poor run of two wins in 11 games.
Speaking to Sky Sports in an honest interview, in which Petrov came across very well when asked about the current matters at hand at the club, the Bulgarian who played alongside Lennon believes he is the man for pressure but only has a few games left to save his job.
“I’m concerned about the performances throughout the season which is a big concern and I don’t think Celtic can afford to stretch that gap between them and rangers because that all-important 10 in a row will be difficult to achieve.
“I believe in the next two-to-three games they have to see if they can notice any change.
“If not, then they will have to make that change and I’m sure Neil Lennon is aware of that as well.”
As a former team-mate of Neil Lennon’s, Petrov spoke honestly about both Neil as a person and the worries within the Celtic team right now.
He was right in saying that Neil loves the pressure of all this as we have seen in the past but at the minute it just isn’t working and a change is needed to revitalise our season again
If it does not come sooner rather than later we could see our campaign for 10 in a row all but over by January which would be bitterly disappointing, after so much success over the years.
There is nothing the Celtic support would love more than Neil Lennon to turn this around but it just looks like a massive task at hand right now.
