Peter Lawwell’s Celtic Plans

CeltsAreHere understands Peter Lawwell will be staying on past Dominic McKay’s appointment on April 19th and the former SRU man will be working under the current chief executive until the summer.

Peter is scheduled to leave the role on the final day of June, at which point McKay will have complete autonomy. Until then, the incoming CEO will be shown the ropes by Lawwell, preparing him for what’s ahead.

Dominic McKay will want to do the job his way come the summer but it is important he finds his feet in the role and that’s where Peter Lawwel does come in.

It would have been negligent had McKay started at the beginning of July, after Peter had left the building.

Celtic are going through a major transition and they have to make sure the men at the top are ready for the challenge.

Supporters are still waiting on a managerial announcement after the weekend’s flurry of speculation. Could a new man be announced before Dominic McKay turns up for work later this month? It’s a real possibility.
