The zoom call with all 42 SPFL clubs before the EGM vote on Tuesday saw a few chairmen make speeches about the current state of our game.
Celtic CEO, Peter Lawwell had the floor at one point and made it clear what he thought of the dossier.
The Times is reporting that Peter Lawwell branded The Rangers dossier as embarrassing as he rallied clubs to vote no on an inquiry.
The paper wrote: ‘Peter Lawwell defended the SPFL executive during the 42-club Zoom conference and said that, after waiting four weeks for it, the Ibrox club’s dossier of evidence on alleged wrongdoing had been “embarrassing”.’
Peter Lawwell and Celtic have been silent since the previous vote to end the lower leagues went through. However, the Celtic CEO took the opportunity on zoom to convey his thinking and where Scottish football is at.
This was then followed up by an official statement from the club who applauded the SPFLs decision not to hold an independent inquiry and for the good of our game, we must look forward.
The only thing left to decide at this point is whether we can play out the remaining fixtures or the league will be called. The UEFA deadline for declaring our intentions is May 25th.
