Perfect Glancing Header, Watch As Welsh Gives The Champions The Lead

Celtic open their league defence today against Aberdeen at Paradise as they look to get off to a winning start this season.

The Champions took all of three minutes to open the scoring today against Aberdeen at Paradise for their league season opener.

Players walked down the Celtic Park tunnel to a wall of sound and colour as captain Callum McGregor with the League trophy in hand raised the championship flag.

All the fanfare made sure the Celts started the game at 100 miles an hour and a corner on the 3rd minute was headed home, Stephen Welsh.

The champions dominated possession after the goal with some half chances falling to Kyogo, O’Riley and Hatate. Jota is making a mockery of any Aberdeen player trying to take the ball from him.

Jonny Hayes probably had the Dons best chance just ten minutes before the halfway mark but he pulled his shot narrowly wide.
