Celtic midfielder Paulo Bernardo has mirrored his fellow countryman and former Benfica youngster Jota with his Instagram post following the Bhoys’ dramatic Premier Sports Cup final victory over Rangers yesterday.
It was a topsy-turvy affair at the national stadium, from which the Hoops eventually emerged victorious.
Fans would be forgiven for having a heart attack mid-game: that’s how much of a mental, physical, and emotional rollercoaster it was.
Six goals from six different scorers in 90 minutes caused the game to go to extra time. After over two hours of football, though, it still couldn’t be decided, and the Bhoys prevailed on penalties.
Paulo Bernardo was off by that point, having been replaced on 71 minutes by Arne Engels. The midfielder put in a typically energetic display in the engine room before being withdrawn.
The morning after winning his third trophy as a Celt, Bernardo took to Instagram. He mirrored Jota’s ‘What a f******* ride’ farewell video by penning ‘What a f****** club’.
