Patrick Roberts has been the latest former teammate of Scott Brown to pay tribute to his former captain on social media.
The Manchester City player posted a picture of himself and Brown and simply put ‘legend’ beneath.
It’s a recurring theme, so many players past and present have been praising Broony as he announces his Celtic departure.
The player will head off to Aberdeen in the summer and embark on something very different from what he’s done over the past 14 years.
Paddy and Broony were invincible Celts together during Brendan Rodgers first season at the club.
It kicked off four seasons of utter dominance from the club. Broony will now be tasked with stopping Celtic winning rather than racking up trophies. It’s going to be a surreal sight when it happens.
Before that though, Scott does have the opportunity to bag one more trophy. Given our form this season, it appears to be a big ask but if the team can get their act together, there’s still a Scottish Cup to be wins
That would be a great send off.
