Celtic are in the market for a left-back this month, but Owen Beck will not be joining The Bhoys this window. This is because he came on for Liverpool today away at Bournemouth.
In a season, players are allowed to play for a maximum of two clubs. Now, however, Beck, who was linked with a permanent move to Glasgow earlier today, has fulfilled this quota having turned out for the Reds and Dundee.
FIFA RULE: ‘A player may only be registered with one club at a time. 3. Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.’

The potential acquisition of the 21-year-old enticed many fans, and it will be disappointing that he cannot come to the club any more.
In the first half of the current campaign, Beck stood out for the Dee. He kept Daizen Maeda quiet at Dens Park on Boxing Day, and it is a testament to his performances that he was billed as one of the best players in Scotland earlier this season.
Now, though, the champions must move on. Attention will be turned to other targets because there is no getting away from the fact that signing a left-back is a priority in this window.
