Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers remains on the hunt for quality this summer as he looks to strengthen his squad.

Left-back sticks out as an area which could do with reinforcing; Greg Taylor is the only senior option there and his contract expires next summer.

Owen Wijndal was linked with a move to Parkhead last week, but a more realistic option for the Hoops appears to be Owen Beck.

The Welshman looked set to join the Bhoys in January but Jurgen Klopp killed all hope of a move when he played him for Liverpool against Bournemouth.

Now, though, a deal could be rekindled, and according to a report by Reds journalist Jack Lusby, Liverpool are ‘weighing up’ a transfer exit for the 22-year-old.

Interestingly, Lusby has also stated that former Celtic wonderkid Ben Doak will depart the club before next Friday’s deadline.

There has been some speculation that the winger could return to his boyhood club this summer, but a move for Beck seems more likely out of the pair.
