“Over the moon to be here” – Adam Idah Makes Intriguing Celtic Admission

Celtic striker Adam Idah got the Rugby Park title party started for his side last night, opening the scoring five minutes into the Hoops’ dominant victory over Kilmarnock.

Surprisingly, the number nine got the nod ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi but he more than seized his opportunity.

From the off, Idah caused Killie problems by dropping deep, using his physicality, and linking the play adeptly with his technical ability.

He was more than worth his goal and if Matt O’Riley wasn’t as impressive in the game, the Irishman would have easily been man of the match.

10 goal contributions in 17 Celtic appearances since joining the club at the beginning of February makes for impressive reading. Idah scores or assists every 75 minutes in Hoops and it is no wonder many fans are calling for his loan to be made permanent.

A summer move wouldn’t come with many complications outside of a fee because the player knows what he is going into, is proven at the club, and is already adorned by the supporters.

Indeed, after winning the league last night, the 23-year-old intriguingly admitted that he is ‘over the moon’ to be at Celtic.

He said: [Celtic TV] “I had a tough start to the season, my confidence was low and ever since I arrived I’ve been so welcomed in.

“I hope I repaid that to the fans and to the players and look, I’m over the moon to be here.

“The crowd are unbelievable. What the boys have done tonight has been amazing. Not just tonight, but the whole season. There’s been so many ups and downs, so it’s fantastic to enjoy it with everyone.”
