There was one man starting his final game at Celtic Park on Wednesday night but there was another grabbing his first.
The debut of Adam Montgomery was the surprise when the team sheet came out and to be honest, the lad didn’t disappoint.
He dealt with most things well, looked comfortable on the ball and even cleared a ball off the line to deny St Johnstone a goal.
Adam was a striker in the youth setup before Darren O’Dea suggested he moved to left-back.
Since then, the coaches have been working with Adam to advance his knowledge in the position and he was certainly a bright spark on a night where it was all about Scott Brown’s final Parkhead bow as a Celtic player.
Adam will be a number of young stars looking to make an impact next season under a new boss. Diego Laxalt will be heading back to Milan, by default he becomes Celtic’s backup left-back.
These fans are impressed.
Adam Montgomery is very good at football

Thought Adam Montgomery was outstanding for the 61mins he was on the pitch.
