CALLUM MCGREGOR was our pick for captain before any decision was made but there were a lot of people who questioned his credentials as a leader on the pitch.

I think anyone who held that belief is slowly coming around, if not already on the Captain McGregor bandwagon.

Callum has spoken to all the new signings straight off the bat and welcomed them to the team. He was very animated in the huddle before the game and he was directing players and setting the tone on the pitch.

He had to have words with Liel Abada after the player tried to take the penalty he won late on. Abada and Eddy were having words when the captain sorted things out.

Over and above that, after Celtic had smashed Dundee to pieces in a 6-0 rout that could have been double figures, Callum got all the players together at the end of the game, delivered some words and told them to go applaud the fans who were lucky enough to attend. It was a great moment.

The signs so far is this team is together and are all singing from the same page.
