Our View: Several Celtic Players Set for Saturday Reprieve

John Kennedy will take charge of Celtic on Saturday when Aberdeen are the visitors.

The lineup for that game becomes very interesting for Celtic fans to see how similar or far apart John Kennedy and Neil Lennon actually are.

There have been some puzzling decisions in the team selection and too much chopping and changing of formations and personnel. The goalkeeping issue has also been a major talking point, will Bain keep his place or does John see merit in bringing Barkas back into the fold?

There might be nothing to play for but right now, I can’t wait to see what this team looks like.

Will he give some of the youth players a chance? I think if John wants to separate himself from this debacle somewhat, he would be best served playing guys who are hungry and who didn’t get a chance under Neil Lennon.

If Scott Brown joins him in the dugout, it would give John the added bonus of being able to play Soro with freedom knowing Scott is better served on the sidelines.

Will he go with two up top and give the strikers a new sense of hope they can make the breakthrough?

We have argued Neil Lennon was so entrenched in winning every game for himself after the league had already gone that he wasn’t looking at the big picture. John has a free hit and the opportunity to do some good for the squad.
