Aaron McGuire is a journalist and writer for CeltsAreHere, covering everything from breaking transfer news and match reaction to opinion pieces. Having followed Celtic for as long as he can remember and held a season ticket for well over a decade, the club has always been a huge part of his life.
One of Aaron’s earliest Celtic memories is a draw against Hibs at Celtic Park where Gary Hooper hit the post twice – a strangely specific memory that has stuck with him ever since. He also remembers Neil Lennon coming back as interim manager in 2010, with the dugout in good view from his seat.
Aaron graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a First Class Honours degree in Multimedia Journalism in 2026 and currently also works as a Production Junior with Sky Sports Scotland. Alongside his work at CeltsAreHere, he has covered Scottish football across digital, social and broadcast platforms.
Growing up, Georgios Samaras was his favourite Celtic player, while Stefan Johansen was another favourite who he tried to play like, but wasn’t too successful…
His favourite Celtic memory remains the famous 2-1 victory over Barcelona in 2012, although the 3-0 derby win under Ange Postecoglou after the return of supporters remains a close second.
