Opinion: The One Big Signing Celtic Should Make This Summer

I don’t think there’s any danger if Celtic going out and spending big money for next season — even when the time frame has been announced.

The transfer market is likely to a massive hit when football does reopen for business.

It could become a buyers a market with clubs looking to get money in through transfers to get themselves back on even footing.

If that were to come to pass — there’s one signing I’d like to see Celtic make for the ten in a row season.

If we managed to keep the nucleus of the rest of the squad together next term — signing Fraser Forster back on a permanent deal would be the perfect way to kick off a new campaign.

The goalkeeper is on loan and on big wages at his current club Southampton. However, I get the feeling, the big Englishman is more concerned about enjoying the last part of his career rather raking in as much cash as possible while he sits in the reserves.

If Celtic could broker a deal with the English club — it would be a massive boost for the support.
