Opinion: Neil Lennon’s Quick Return to Management

Ireland fell to an embarrassing defeat to Luxembourg this weekend as Stephen Kenny’s tenure went from bad to worse.

There are doubts over whether Kenny can survive this sort of result and there’s pressure on the Irish FA to make a change.

With that in mind, there has been mention this evening of Neil Lennon on social media.

Nothing concrete, but the former Celtic manager is out of work and has already said he’s looking to get back into the game when a good opportunity arises.

An international boss could be a great move for the treble winning manager and the less hectic schedule of International duty could be right up Neil Lennon’s street after the pressure cooker he was in during this failed season.

There’s no doubt Ireland are a better team than they’re showing. Could Neil Lennon and his OWN backroom staff be something that could galvanise the country?
