The BBC headline writer is at it again.
Sometimes we just these slide but it’s important sometimes to shine a light on some of the absurd disparities in the way they report Celtic compared to our city rivals.
Both sides qualified for the Europa League group stages on Thursday evening. Celtic had a much tougher test over the two legs – playing last seasons third best team in Holland. The Ibrox club were up against a much weaker Armenian side.
Celtic had to ride a storm on Thursday night to make sure they qualified. Alkmaar were like a dog with a bone, but a 2-1 defeat on the night was enough after Celtic’s impressive 2-0 home defeat. 3-2 on aggregate against a tough side is outstanding considering where we were merely weeks ago.
In contrast – the behind closed door title winners only managed a 1-0 aggregate score line over a very poor Alashkert side who struggle for goals. Not to mention the Armenian’s had a man sent off in the first half and played the whole of the second half with ten men.
The BBC headlines for both games are so laughable and transparent.

Incredible, really.
The Ibrox club had near enough a full strength team out and struggled hugely against minnows.
Celtic beating Alkmaar during the early part of a rebuild – scoring over there then eventually seeing the game out is very noteworthy. Just not to the BBC.
A lot of Celtic fans have called this out in the past and regularly comment on how BBC Sportsound appears to favour bringing on ex-Ibrox players over any other club.
Should we complain that much? Fan media is thriving because of things like this.
