Celtic could be set to lose out on another top Scottish prospect because of their dithering.
There’s not been a strong link between Celtic and Hibernian breakout stay, Josh Doig, but his performances this season have caught the attention of a lot of clubs.
The youngster looks like he has the potential to be a top player, but he’s still in the infancy of his career.
I personally think Doig would be better developing at Hibernian and I’d be a massive proponent of Celtic signing the left-back and loaning him back to the Easter Road outfit.
However, because we have no proper management in place, major decisions can’t be made just yet. Watford have jumped the queue according to the Watford Observer.
Hibs are looking for a whopping £4m for the player which is a lot for someone who has only had one season but a snip if he turns to be a top player.
Had Celtic been more prepared, they could already be signing players and putting in a definitive plan for next season.
Right now, the effort that needs to be made in a very short space of time is huge.
