Opinion – Celtic Must Act Now Over Major Supporter Concern

With no sign of football coming back anytime soon — it’s high time Celtic do the right thing by their season ticket holders and suspend the process.

The season ticket renewal campaign started up just before the shutdown and there will be many supporters who already parted with their cash and signed up for finance to book their place for ten in a row. However, over a month on — we’re looking at football without supporters if it comes back at all — and the biggest issue is affordability at this moment in time.

Celtic extended their season ticket renewal date to the end of May but with so many people living in financial uncertainty — the club must come forward and tell those who would renew otherwise, that their seat will be safe.

Only when we get a timeframe for football’s return with supporters should the club put renewals back on the table.

We have spoken to Celtic fans on social media and there are plenty who are worried they could lose their season ticket if the current deadline is adhered to.

This is far from ideal with Celtic anticipating no short of interest in season tickets ahead of the ten in a row season.
