Celtic have had a bad time with injuries when it comes to the right-back area.
Elhamed and Frimpong have both been injured this term. Both players can be Celtic’s first-team right back in any given day.
However, in their absence, instead of relying on Moritz Bauer, who was supposed to be back up to Elhamed before Frimpong made the breakthrough. Neil Lennon has picked an entirely different system which meant Moritz didn’t get any meaningful game time.
Hatem and Jeremie are now both fit and ready to be of service to the first team when called upon, but even they aren’t guaranteed a place in the new system.
So that leaves Moritz Bauer with no chance of getting into this current Celtic side before the end of the season.
The player didn’t show enough when he did get game time and came across as very average. The defender is destined to leave Parkhead this summer without a permanent deal and head back to Stoke City.
Moritz has made 13 appearances in all competitions.
