Oostende Chief Exec Makes Celtic Transfer Declaration

OSAZE URHOGIDE joined Celtic in the summer on a free transfer. Joining from Sheffield Wednesday, he would reunite with former teammate Liam Shaw.

However, he found it tough to get minutes under Postecoglou’s management and was sent out on loan in January. He joined KV Oostende, Jack Hendry’s former club, on a loan deal with an option to buy.

KV Oostende are keen to keep the player after his loan expires but admit they don’t have the financial power to do so. They will open talks with Celtic in an attempt to find a solution.

The KV Oostende chief executive said; [Daily Record]

“Urhoghide has proved to be an excellent addition, but the problem is he is still too expensive for us.

“But I hope we can work out a solution with Celtic, then I would be very happy because we really want to keep Osaze.”

There doesn’t seem to be too much of a future at Celtic for the player, and it’s likely he won’t be playing in green and white after the summer, whether he leaves on another loan or a permanent basis.

He’s getting game time and playing well in Belgium.

Osaze was clearly brought in by scouts and after running the rule over the player the Celtic manager has decided he’s not going to be in plans going forward.
