Many many years from now Celtic fans will still speak about Jozo Simunovic. Not because of the trophies he won, not that he was an Invincible or a Treble Treble hero, he will go into Celtic folklore for one tackle.
Yesterday the Celtic Twitter account lined up Jozo for the fans questions addition of their lockdown series. There was a multitude of questions all relating to one incident, that tackle on Kenny Miller. The club’s Twitter account had to put the question “What’s the best tackle you ever made” to the defender and here is what he had to say.
“From Ibrox in the derby. When I heard the noise from our fans it felt like we scored a goal!”
The tackle remains one of the iconic moments in the dominance Celtic have shown over the past decade, usually accompanied by the phrase “know your place” that one tackle epitomises what the Champions have done in their quest for ten in a row.
