Hibernian boss, Jack Ross has shaken off any suggestions of him being in line to replace Neil Lennon as Celtic manager.

This comes after Hibs sporting director, Graeme Mathie said he wasn’t surprised to see Ross linked with other clubs.

As reported by Glasgow Live, the former St Mirren and Sunderland boss was asked during his press conference today about his chances of becoming boss at Parkhead and denied any possibility of this happening any time soon.

 “I’m not planning on going anywhere soon.

“If Graeme is saying that he’s only doing his job properly, but from my point of view I am very much enjoying the job and very happy where I am at the moment.

“I don’t think you’d be surprised to learn that I wouldn’t comment on that at all.

“Somebody is in that job, it’s one of the biggest jobs in British football.

“So it’s not for me to comment, it’s about me concentrating on doing my job here as well as I can.”

In recent weeks Neil Lennon has been under considerable pressure after going on a run of just two wins in 12 games.

Some were suggesting that Jack Ross could be the next man to take the job. Previously Ross has impressed against Celtic with former boss Brendan Rodgers, leaping praise on his sides when at Alloa and St Mirren.

As a young Scottish manager, I think it is someone the Celtic board would favour if they were looking for a potential new boss if the opportunity was to arise.

At this stage though, I’m just not sure how likely that would be to happen and if it would go down well with the Celtic support.

If it was to happen I would imagine this sort of move would take place in the summer but there is a lot of time between now and then.
