Brendan Rodgers has announced his lineup for today’s face-off against Motherwell in Lanarkshire.

Scott Bain replaces the suspended Joe Hart, while Lagerbielke and Scales retain their positions in the starting eleven. Yang starts on the wing, replacing James Forrest, who was in the starting lineup against Livingston.

Notably absent from even the bench for today’s match is recent signee Paolo Bernardo, who joined the squad on deadline day.
The midfielder, currently on a year-long loan with an option to buy, has seen limited playtime thus far. Although included in last week’s squad, he remained an unused substitute; this week, he does not secure a spot on the bench.
It’s a strange one, with Turnbull, Holm and Iwata all included in the squad ahead of him. The manager didn’t mention any injury when he faced the press on Thursday, but he could’ve picked something up during Friday’s session.
It’s becoming a weird signing, especially as we see more players sign new deals. There’s still plenty of time for the player to secure a place in the squad, of course, but it doesn’t look like it will be happening within the next few weeks.
