One Banner Causes a Stir After Sunday’s Protests

While most protestors were at Celtic Park on Sunday to hold the board accountable. There was one man who came down to support the manager.

While the protestors weren’t directly attacking Neil Lennon on the day, the board are being scrutinised for not sacking the manager after a dismal run of games which saw us exit two competitions and fall thirteen points behind in the league.

The banner below is aimed at anyone disrespecting Neil Lennon after his twenty year career on and off with the club is a disgrace.

We have always been of the opinion that no matter if we think the manager should be sacked or not, he deserves respect and doesn’t deserve the petty and juvenile name calling you see on social media.

There is an element of the support who think our manager is above criticism though and that can never be the case. Regardless of your stature at the club or what’s come before, if you’re not doing the business then your feet must be held to the fire.

Billy McNeill was famously sacked by Celtic, something which sounds crazy after all his years of service but it was the right call when it happened.

Neil Lennon has got two wins under his belt since the poor run of form came to an end but it only happened when he decided to trust other players and not go for the old players act.
