On-Loan Celtic Defender Goes Under the Knife – Torn Ligaments

Jack Hendry suffered a serious injury playing for his loan side Melbourne City at the weekend and the player has since gone under the knife in his first step towards recovery.

The defender only joined the Australian outfit at the end of January and was playing just his second game when he went down with a knee injury.

The club website confirmed it was torn ligament damage Hendry had sustained and now he’s set to miss most of their season.

Hendry thanked the club for their support and looked in good spirits from his hospital bed.

There was fear his loan spell would come to an end because of the injury but the club are confident of having Jack back for the latter part of the season.

The Celtic defender was surplus to requirements at the club and was given the opportunity to go out and get some game time down under. It’s a shame the injury has transpired since but we wish him all the best in his recovery.
