On Loan Celt Tests Postive for Covid-19

On-Loan Celtic defender Jack Hendry has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Oostende’s Belgian league fixture against Waregem.

It was confirmed by the official Twitter account of his current club after the starting lineups were revealed and Hendry was missing which is the first time he has not been in a squad since 10th of August last year.

Hendry has gone from strength to strength over in Belgian becoming a key part of the Oostende defence who currently find themselves sitting in 8th place.

The Scottish defender has played the entire game for the last 14 fixtures so it will be interesting to see how much the defence misses him in today’s fixture which will indicate the role he plays in the side.

Recently there has been talk of Oostende stepping up their interest in the permanent transfer of the 25-year, who has an option to buy at the end of the season included in the loan deal.

We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery from the virus.
