There were reports Celtic had terminated Olivier Ntcham’s contract after the Frenchman failed to make the grade at Marseille in the second half of the season.
However, when we reached out to the club there was no indication this was the case. This has further been backed up by Sunday Mail chief reporter Scott McDermott who also claims these reports are wide of the mark.
Despite online reports, as of this afternoon, Celtic say the contract of French midfielder Olivier Ntcham hasn’t been terminated…

We always caveat Football Insider stories when it comes to Celtic because they are more miss than hit when it comes to what’s going on inside Celtic Park. They do try to pass themselves off as ‘in the know’.
CeltsAreHere.com will never claim to be ‘in the know’ about any subject unless a reliable source comes forward to talk to us.
Upon reaching out to the club we got the impressions Olivier has been nothing but a fantastic professional for the Hoops, he’s very personable and there doesn’t seem to be any reason why the club would terminate the Frenchman’s contract.
Of course, you could then point to Jonny Hayes and Jozo SImunovic who both had the rug pulled out from underneath them at the end of last season. Celtic have made a habit out of reporting longer deals for players but with the club having the option of an additional year rather than it being locked in.
We still don’t have definitive proof the player is staying on at Celtic for now but it appears noises away from FI are saying it’s highly doubtful.
