The SFA have confirmed who will take charge of Celtic’s trip to Dundee this weekend, and it is fair to say the appointment will ruffle a few feathers.
John Beaton – who took charge of the most recent Glasgow derby and has been the heart of refereeing controversy in the past – will referee the match while David Roome and Dougie Potter will run the lines.
Peter Stuart is the fourth official. On VAR will be Andrew Dallas, assisted by Graeme Leslie.

The Hoops can afford no slip-ups this weekend in one of the tightest title races in recent memory. Each game between now and the campaign’s end is a cup final and must be treated as such.
Although Celtic have come away victorious every time they’ve played the Dee in 2023/24, as seen last midweek, they can prove a tricky opponent.
Nothing can be taken for granted at this stage of the season, but a win would do the Bhoys title hopes a world of good.
