Celtic have this morning posted the 18th anniversary of Seville where Celtic played Porto in the final coming up short in extra time.
The social media team are praising the support that day in Seville. There was 80k Celtic fans in the Spanish city and no arrests. This would see FIFA award Celtic fans the fair play award for their exemplary support.
The social media account are clearly celebrating our well behaved supporters and getting in the subtle dig that others who can’t behave try to tar us with the same brush.

Seville was incredible. Fans came from all over the world to watch Henrik Larsson an co in the final. The amazing run to the UEFA Cup final is still very memorable. Knocking out two English sides, including Liverpool. Coming back against Boavista in the semi-finals.
It’s a shame we came up against a Porto side who wanted to roll around and feign injury throughout the entirety of the game.
Twice Celtic came back from a goal down but when Bobo was sent off in extra time, we were out on our feet.
