Notts County Land Former Celtic Player

Former Celtic academy prospect Calvin Miller has made the move on loan to National League side, Notts County.

Miller departed the Scottish Champions last summer, after playing just five games for the club and having loan spells at the likes of Dundee and Ayr United.

The 23-year was one of the best prospects coming out of the academy at one point. Before Brendan Rodgers came to the club, Miller was a goalscoring winger. But the Northern Irishman tried to develop him into a left-back and even gave him his debut in this position against Partick Thistle.

A bad injury meant that Miller’s last season at the club was spent on the injury table but it felt inevitable that he was set to move on.

In the summer, he had several trials at clubs such as Plymouth and Salford City but ended up gaining a move to League 2 side Harrogate Town.

Now he will find himself plying his trade with Notts County, who despite being in the National League is quite a big club in terms of history. Fingers crossed Miller can kick start his career from here.
