‘Not Good Enough’ For Celtic; Former Ibrox Man Sticks Boot In

Former Rangers player Charlie Adam has moved to claim Jeremie Frimpong is not good enough to be in this Celtic team.

Speaking to PLZ Soccer, the former Blackpool and Liverpool player thinks Jeremie is very poor defensively and he shouldn’t be in the side.

“Your Frimpong, I don’t think he’s good enough.

“Yes, he’s good going forward but defensively I don’t think he’s at the level everybody thinks he is.

“They desperately need a right-winger with James Forrest coming back from an injury and I think he’s been a massive loss to them.

“If you look at the number of players who might want away if they lose ten-in-a-row, you’re looking at a brand new team.”

Jeremie has been a first team pick for Neil Lennon this season in different systems. He’s played right-back, full-back and flat out winger.

The player has managed to get a lot of football under his belt and hasn’t always been at his best. Some standout performances during this season prove the player is worth working on but if we had better options, he wouldn’t be so exposed.

Celtic have not been at the races for a large part of this season. However, before the Glasgow Derby, they were starting to go on a roll. Playing the diamond, they were bearing teams comfortably. They need to continue that on Monday against Hibernian.
