BBC and BT Sports pundit Michael Stewart has taken to social media to have a dig at Sky Sports over the handling of their new Scottish TV announcement.
Stewart has been part of the much-praised BT panel which has offered Scottish football fans a real alternative to Sky Sports who have been phoning it in for years on our game.
The pundit pointed out the myopic mindset the people at Sky Sports have when the announcement to the deal which encompasses every single club in Scotland’s top flight just had a picture of Steven Gerrard front and centre with Brendan Rodgers behind him.
Not a great start. Hopefully this myopic view can be improved and expanded in the years to come….. pic.twitter.com/zvC2yVs1o9

This is how they see our game, this is how English football sees our game and it’s pretty pathetic stuff.
Our social media man spoke a few weeks back about BT airing Hibernian vs Aberdeen – a game which can throw up a cracking atmosphere as well as some good football. It had build up, talking points were discussed and the whole thing was great from the BT team.
Had it been Sky Sports in charge of the game, if they even hose to air it, there would have been 10 minutes before kick off to discuss followed by the game then a sharp exit to a re-run of a 1998 Premier League game.
Sadly we are regressing and fans will be subjected to this kind of poor stuff going forward.
