Norwich City ‘Cool’ Their Interest In Celtic Star

English Premier League side Norwich City have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer.

The newly-promoted side has been one of the main teams linked with making a move for the Norweigan.

However, as reported by the Eastern Daily Press, despite supposedly being in discussions with the defender’s representatives, the Canaries have now decided to look elsewhere in their pursuit of a defensive target with other sides such as RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen also interested in Ajer.

Fans have all but accepted that the 23-year old would be leaving this summer with his contract running down into the final year.

Last month, Ajer’s comments whilst away on international duty also confirmed that he was looking to move away from Glasgow.

It is important that we get the transfer fee we deserve in this deal and are not low-balled into selling Ajer for cheap due to his contract.

After all, this money will be key in helping fund the rebuild at the club this summer and buying a replacement for the big defender.
