No Way Back – Hoops Star Has Likely Played His Last Celtic Game

Three games are left between now and the end of the season.

It means we’ve likely seen the last of some players in a Celtic jersey forever as the curtain comes down on this incredibly strange season.

One man who looks to have played their last game for the club is Diego Laxalt.

After being hooked at half time during the cup defeat at Ibrox, Greg Taylor is preferred by John Kennedy from now until the end of the season.

RecordSport confirms Celtic will not be taking up any sort of option on Diego and will allow him to head back to Milan as soon as the last whistle has blown.

The defender started well but faded away until the point he became a liability.

Diego doesn’t offer much in attack and his defensive positioning has been suspect in many games.

Ultimately, the Uruguayan has not been good enough. We will wish him well when he goes but there must be no return and the club need to find a permanent alternative.
