There’s been no place for Marian Shved at Celtic the past two seasons.
Neil Lennon never gave the winger a real chance. It’s crazy to think about our lack of width and pace this season and then talk about Shved being thrown out on loan.
The midfielder has found a home at Mechelen this term and the manager there has managed to get Shved to put his ego aside to be part of the team.
Neil Lennon might have seen the same ego from the player and had no interest in trying to get through to him.
Marian is due back at Celtic this summer but according to SunSport: Mechelen will try to sign the Ukrainian on another loan deal for next season.
Celtic will likely be looking for a fee for the player if they don’t want him sticking around. Another loan deal wouldn’t serve the club much unless there was no interest at all in the player and we simply had to get him off the wage bill.
The new manager will likely get the chance to run the rule over Shved before any decision is made.
