No Fear Against “The Best in the Country” Claims Motherwell Boss

Stuart Kettlewell, the manager of Motherwell, is embracing the formidable challenge of facing Premiership leaders Celtic this Saturday, asserting that his team is unafraid and eager to compete against the champions.

The former Ross County co-manager also admitted that Celtic are the best team in the country, and the leagues and cups Celtic have won in recent times prove that.

Kettlewell is optimistic about Motherwell’s chances, emphasising the team’s desire to continue their strong form and capitalise on opportunities against Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic.

Despite recent 1-0 losses to Rangers and St Mirren, Motherwell has been commended for their performances, and Kettlewell believes it’s crucial to leverage these opportunities.

They were probably unlucky to leave Ibrox without a point, after putting in a strong display and creating some great chances throughout the match.

Kettlewell said: [RecordSport]

“I think we find ourselves in a decent position, going in to play against Celtic.

“In terms of our performance, what we would love to do is try and get that little bit of reward for what we’ve put in.

“As difficult as that will be this Saturday, we relish the challenge, we look forward to it.

“I keep speaking about having no fear and pitting your wits against the absolute best, and over the last few seasons Celtic have shown that they are the best in this country, with the titles they win, the level of consistency.

“I think if we can join in that game and be there towards the dying embers again, it will only make us better.”

Brendan Rodgers has only won one of his visits to Fir Park and will be hoping to secure the three points on Saturday.
