‘No Chance’ – Celtic ‘Source’ Shoots Down Defender Transfer Claim

Celtic really need to get a move on with regards to bringing in defensive reinforcements.

There are just over two weeks left of this current transfer window and after a promising start with a flurry of signings while in Dubai, things have seemed to stall.

It’s vital Celtic get a right back in before the window closes but with all the rumours flying around you can forget about one of those options.

Micah Richards name was bandied about after very soft media reports linked the Aston Villa reject with a move to the Scottish Champions. However, Michael Gannon at RecordSport was on the case, and while Celtic sources don’t tend to pipe up when there’s a deal close for someone, they do usually quash any outlandish rumours.

‘Sources’ have said there is ‘no chance’ of the English defender ending up at Celtic Park before the window closes which would abruptly put that rumour to bed.
