Bookies slashed odds on the next Celtic manager being Roberto Martinez after a flurry of bets on the Spaniard.
Martinez is currently the manager of Belgium where he managed a top three finish at the World cup with his team.
The international boss has turned down Celtic before, back in 2009 when he could have come in from Swansea but Roberto wanted to stay in English football at the time and went to Wigan.
After his very successful run at the World Cup, there’s a decent amount of fans who would be happy with Martinez coming into the club in the summer. One man who believes it’s not going to happen though is BT man Darrell Currie who seems to have the inside track on what Martinez is thinking.
Don’t put your money on Roberto Martinez being the next Celtic manager. Not going to happen. He’s staying with Belgium for the next Euros at least. Wouldn’t rule it out in the future though… much further down the line. He loves Scottish football.

Currently, Neil Lennon is holding down the interim position and is the bookies favourite to take the job full time. So we may see Martinez manage Celtic one day, the timing is just not there.
