Nir Bitton poked fun at himself today after he helped Celtic to a 7-0 win from defence on Saturday afternoon.
The Israeli midfielder turned centre back has been doing a great job deputising in defence due to injuries and suspension.
With both Jozo Simunovic and Christopher Jullien suspended for the opener it was up to Nir to help Celtic to a clean sheet.
After the game an image of him kicking the ball into the back of an empty net after one of Celtic’s goals – the player seen the funny side of it and declared that’s the closest he was getting to the goal.
Nir has scored a couple of belters for Celtic over the years but more of than not he hits row Z rather than the back of the net.
Celtic got off to the perfect start in the SPFL opener, putting seven pat St Johnstone and sending a message to any pretenders out there.
