CELTIC look to be closing in on Isreali midfielder Nir Biton from FC Ashdod.
The 21-year-old was quoted at the weekend talking about Celtic and his friendship with Celtic defender Efe Ambrose.
He said:
“Of course I would be interested in a move to a big European club like Celtic.
“I have spoken to Efe quite a few times and he has told me that Celtic is a very good club and Scotland is a great place.
“I know how big a club they are and it is flattering to be linked with a club like Celtic.”
While the rumours have been going on for days the deal seems to be edging closer with Celtic putting a 4 year deal on the table for the Israeli international.
Neil Lennon has been very active on the transfer front but has become frustrated not being able to tie up deals. It looks like he may just be getting someone on his list.
